A structured programme designed to reward accountants, bookkeepers, and payroll practitioners who build their practice on the Avalanche platform.
The Avalanche Partner Programme operates on two distinct subscription layers. First, there is your Partner Subscription — this is what you pay as the accountant or practice, and it unlocks your partner benefits: discounts, training resources, the partner directory listing, and dedicated support. Second, there are your Client Subscriptions — what each of your clients pays for their own company\'s Avalanche plan. These are billed to the client (or through you as their accountant) at the discounted partner rate.
This means your partner subscription cost is separate from and in addition to client subscription fees. The value exchange is straightforward: your monthly partner fee unlocks significant percentage discounts on client subscriptions, priority support, co-branded materials, and — at higher tiers — a recurring revenue share. The more clients you manage, the more the economics work in your favour.
For example, a Gold Partner managing 20 clients on Accounting Pro saves R 48,000/year on client subscriptions alone (20 clients × R 200/month saving × 12 months) — against a partner subscription of R 1,299/month (R 15,588/year). Net saving: over R 32,000/year, before accounting for the R 200 acquisition bonus per new client and the time saved on manual work.
Before you can activate a partner subscription, you must complete the Avalanche Accounting Certification (8 modules) and/or the Avalanche Payroll Certification (6 modules). Certification training is completely free for all applicants — you only pay the partner subscription once you\'re certified and approved.
Certification ensures that partners have a thorough knowledge of the platform, so they can serve their clients confidently and represent the Avalanche standard. Each certification consists of self-paced video modules, practical exercises using real SA data scenarios, and an online assessment. A pass mark of 80% is required.
Once certified and active, you manage your client companies through the Partner Portal — a dedicated dashboard that shows all your client companies, their subscription status, outstanding actions (reconciliations, SARS submissions due), and key financial alerts. You can switch between client companies in one click, without separate logins.
Clients are onboarded to Avalanche under your partner account. You control their access level — from view-only for clients who just want to see reports, to full access for clients who do their own day-to-day bookkeeping while you handle SARS filings and month-end.
Partners earn 20%–40% discount on all client plan subscriptions. Discounts apply across both Accounting and Payroll plans, at all tiers (Lite, Pro, Autopilot). The more clients, the greater the aggregate saving — and the stronger your value proposition to clients.
Platinum Partners earn a 15% recurring revenue share on all client subscription fees. This creates a meaningful passive income stream from your client portfolio — payable monthly, with transparent reporting in your Partner Portal. Platinum is designed for larger practices and payroll bureaus.
All partners receive priority support with faster SLA response times than standard clients. Certified Partners get 1-hour email SLA. Gold Partners receive a dedicated partner success manager. Platinum Partners have a 30-minute SLA with dedicated phone support and quarterly business reviews.
The programme is designed for long-term growth. Start as a Certified Partner once you complete your modules. As you grow your client base and deepen your Avalanche expertise, progress to Gold (10+ clients, 6+ months certified) and ultimately Platinum (50+ clients, dedicated team). Each tier unlocks additional benefits, discounts, and revenue opportunities — rewarding partners who invest in the platform and grow alongside it.
